AFTERCARE
You will leave your appointment with your new tattoo wrapped and will have been advised on the recommended amount of time to leave this on for (things like the weather, size/heaviness of your tattoo can affect how long you are recommended to leave it covered for).
Wash your hands before unwrapping your fresh tattoo- then clean your tattoo with warm water alone, or with a soap and scent free wash.
Allow the area to air dry, or gently pat dry with something clean and soft that won't leave any fluff or dirt on your fresh tattoo- kitchen roll is ideal if you're in a rush!
Once dried, apply a thin layer of your chosen aftercare cream/balm.
Repeat this process of washing, drying and moisturising (applying aftercare cream) 2-3 times a day.

DO'S & DONT'S
A list of do's and don'ts to follow whilst your tattoo is healing
WATER
Don't submerge your healing tattoo in water- please shower instead of having baths, avoid swimming/hot tubs etc until your new tattoo is fully healed
CLEAN & MOISTURISED
Do keep your healing tattoo clean and moisturised- following your aftercare instructions.
SUN
Don't sunbathe or allow your healing tattoo to be out in the sun- once it is fully healed, always wear a high SPF to protect your tattoo and keep it looking its best.
CLOTHING
SCRATCHING/PICKING
Don't scratch your healing tattoo or pick off any scabs! It can get a little itchy once your tattoo starts to scab, put lightly tap it to relieve the itching and allow all scabs to fall of naturally.
LOOK AFTER YOURSELF
Wear loose fitting and comfortable clothing, especially if the tattoo is in an area where tight clothing can irritate it.
Do stay hydrated, rest after long sittings, and take time off heavy exercise whilst your tattoo is healing.
